Is any one else interested in the new tyranid codex that coming out,iv read alot on warseer about the rumours going around and it sounds quite interesting im really looking foward to reading the codex and getting my new nid army underway, already got the new Trygon model built, looks really cool.

Also any one got any good ideas for colour scheme, i was thinking codex grey torso with a devilan mud wash and black carapace.

Thanks Bennett

Am liking the sound of the colour scheme. How about adding white highlight to the carapaces? Just an idea.

Will be getting the new codex on the Monday after the release :D Then will make a new army list. This should be awesome :D

I think this might get me to start a third 40K army. I really like the idea of an army of medium sized beasties and some bigger ones to add muscle. Never liked the prospect of painting millions of gaunts.

The army im planning is going to have like three units of like 15 gaunts, a hive tyrant with some tyrant guard, two units of 5 warriors and maybe 2 trygons.

Oh and i started to paint my trygon, gone with a shadow grey body and black carapace.

Thanks Bennett.

Which is exactly why I don't want to paint another horde army ever again.

Am still working on the army list atm. But it's defo gonna have a Swarmlord, I just love that guy :p. But probably not a Tyrannofex, after doing a play test, it's not that great. Death Leaper is another option, but for troops am gonna have 4 Choices of Genestealers all with Brood Lords, one choice of 24 Hormagaunts and one choice of 24 Termagaunts. Warriors are a bit too much for troops in my opinion, never really liked them.

I played against a new nid army the other week and they had a tyrannofex, it was rubbish far to many points for what you get. I like the swarm lord but I think he needs a full bodyguard and that puts his points through the roof.

what ou do is take a trygon prime and make it deep strike, the have 3 fexs run up with it all with 2 sets of twin devourers with brain leech worms, 36 shots with re rolls to hit at strentgh 6, and another 12 at strength 5 from the trygon, ive tried it and its sick, coz that way if u give the fexs andreal glands to they charge in with 15 attacks at initive 4, not much is guna stop that lol
